Continue with your current Program

From 2021, there are no changes to the Bachelor of Veterinary Technology [2387]. No action is required from you and you can continue your study, following the program rules and course list from the year you commenced.

There will be a small number of courses that will no longer be available to study. We recommend that you read through the information available on the 'Key Changes (2021)' tab in conjunction with the pre-2021 Bachelor of Veterinary Technology study planner, which has been updated with any changes to courses required or recommended for your program.

Future changes to the Program 

The Bachelor of Veterinary Technology is currently undergoing an Academic Program Review (APR). Any approved changes to this program will take effect from 2022. 

If you're studying the program once these changes take effect, you'll receive additional information about your options. For many students, there is no change to your current study plan. For some students, there may be a choice to retain your existing study plan or move to the revised 2021 program structure.

There have been no significant changes made to the Bachelor of Veterinary Technology.

You’ll notice that the structure of the revised program and program rules have changed slightly.

Select another Level 3 elective course to complete. From 2021, students may like to consider the alternate course AGRC3018.

The Bachelor of Veterinary Technology is currently undergoing an Academic Program Review (APR). An APR is a process that ensures the qualitative and quantitative review of programs offered at UQ; to ensure we continue to deliver quality programs that maximise your graduate outcomes and employability.

Any approved changes to this program will take effect from 2022. Once approved, these changes will not affect your ability to continue to study the program. 

If you're still studying the program once these changes take effect, you'll receive additional information about your options. For many students it will mean that there is no change to your current study plan; for other students, there may be a choice to retain your existing study plan or move onto the revised program structure and program rules.
