Your Options

1. Continue with your current Program

We recommend that you continue your current study plan, as this will ensure that you remain on track to graduate on time.

No action is required from you and you can continue your study, following the program rules and course list from the year you commenced.

We recommend that you check the pre-2021 Bachelor of Agribusiness study planner which has been updated with any changes to courses offered in your program.

2. Choose to follow the revised Program Requirements

You may choose to complete the program under the revised program requirements.

Before making a decision, please read the 'Key Changes' to understand what has changed for the program and carefully consider the options, to select the one that best suits you.

Key Changes

From Semester 1 2021, the Bachelor of Agribusiness has the following changes:

  • Core (compulsory) courses required for the program have changed
  • Increase in the amount of late year courses (level 3 or higher) required
  • Electives section (previously Part B) has been removed from the course list. Students now have the option to select electives from other UQ course lists.

Changes to Core Courses

If you have completed the Level 1 compulsory courses AGRC1016 and MGTS1301, you should confirm that you have room for these courses to count towards the 2021 program, as a program elective (AGRC1016) and general elective (MGTS1301).

Increase to amount of late year courses required

Prior to 2021  2021 onwards 
Minimum of 12 units of late year (level 3 or higher) courses required. Minimum of 16 units  of late year (level 3 or higher) courses required.

Changes to elective courses

Due to the change to the electives section (previously Part B) for the revised program, students studying either the pre-2021 program or the revised program, may complete courses from any part of the BAgribus course list, the Bachelor of Agricultural ScienceBachelor of Equine ScienceBachelor of Veterinary TechnologyBachelor of Wildlife Science or other course lists.
