Bachelor of Equine Science discontinuation

The Bachelor of Equine Science (BEqSc) program is being discontinued from Semester 1, 2024. This follows on from the Vice-Chancellor approving suspension of the program in April 2023.

The School of Agriculture and Food Sustainability is available to provide support and guidance for students currently enrolled in the program.

The Bachelors of Agribusiness / Equine Science program will also be discontinued from Semester 1, 2024.

The Bachelor of Equine Science (Honours) program will be offered until 2026 to allow students who commenced in 2023 to complete an honours year in 2026.

Course Discontinuations

As part of the program discontinuation, the following BEqSc core courses are being discontinued.

All other core courses and program electives are listed in alternative programs and will continued to be offered.

Information and Advising Sessions

The School held an information session in February 2024, giving existing students the opportunity to discuss the teach-out plan with academic and administrative staff.

Current Bachelor of Equine Science or Agribusiness / Equine Science students who missed the session are encouraged to view the recording of the information session on Zoom or the presentation slides.
