1. Students without at least a Sound Achievement in Senior Maths C are required to take MATH1050 as an elective before MATH1051
2. Students with a high achievement in Senior Maths C (or a 6 or 7 in MATH1050) should take the sequence MATH1071, MATH1072 and MATH2401. Students with a sound achievement in Senior Maths C (or a 4 or 5 in MATH1050) should take the sequence MATH1051, MATH1052 and MATH2400.
3. Entry is by application and is restricted to 40 places.
4. Students who intend to major in Mathematics should take STAT1301.  Other students with an interest in advanced mathematics and at least a high achievement in Maths C or a 6 in MATH1050 are encouraged to take STAT1301.

5 This course is offered in odd years only.
6 The Advanced Physics Research Project is a year-long course, totalling 10 units. Students should enrol in the same course code for both semesters of study. Students commencing in Semester 1 and:

  1. intending to take 4 units in Semester 1 and 6 units in Semester 2 should enrol in PHYS6501.
  2. intending to take 6 units in Semester 1 and 4 units in Semester 2 should enrol in PHYS6503.

Students commencing in Semester 2 and:

  1. intending to take 4 units in Semester 2 and 6 units in the following Semester 1 should enrol in PHYS6502.
  2. intending to take 6 units in Semester 2 and 4 units in the following Semester 1 should enrol in PHYS6504.
