Study Planner Information

What will I study?

The Veterinary Science program will equip you with knowledge of the branch of medicine that deals with the causes, diagnosis, treatment and preventing the spread of diseases and injuries in animals.  It covers care of healthy and sick animals and the prevention, recognition, control and treatment of diseases in animals, and the welfare and productivity of livestock and production animals.  Preventing the spread of disease from animals and animal products to human populations is another key aspect of the program.  Human health is protected by veterinary scientists working closely with medical professionals by carefully monitoring livestock health.  Veterinary Sciences includes unique training in epidemiology and emerging zoonotic diseases worldwide.
